For The Kids

A small selection of the many local attractions for the kids.

The Milky Way

An Adventure Park for all ages, Fantasy Farm and Toddler Town just for the under 5's, the Clone Zone for older children and the Time Warp for the big kids (including Mum and Dad!!). Watch the renowned flying displays in the Night Time Owl Theatre as well as the outdoors 'Birds of Prey' flying display. Explore the Pidlers Collection of farming implements used in times gone by. With mini-golf, train rides, archery and lots more, there's plenty to keep the whole family amused for hours, you even get to feed the animals.

The Big Sheep

Sheep racing complete with jockeys, duck and sheep dog trials, sheep shearing and sheep milking, no wonder it's described as 'totally ewenique'. The indoor play zone, aptly named ‘Ewe—topia', has secure, safe play areas for both under 2's and under 5's, as well as catering for children up to the age of 72 ! Freshly prepared food is available in the Shepherds Restaurant and sheep's milk, yoghurt and cheeses are among the many items stocked in the shop, The Big Sheep also has it's own currency, the 'Ewero'. The Big Sheep has its own brewery, which offers tours, and beer tasting (sorry, adults only) from their own brewery.

Brocklands Adventure Park

A great deal of Brocklands is undercover and provides fun and games for all ages, from areas for under 6's up to deep ball-pools for adults only. Outside you'll find supakans, trampolines, steam train rides, pony rides and the bumper-boats (take a towel if you intend to really enjoy yourself). Within the grounds are a large cafeteria and indoor picnic room.

North Devon Farm Park

Centred around a Grade II listed, Devon Farm House, NDFP is a world of rare and unusual animals, some you can both feed and play with. Take a tractor ride to the top of the hill for some spectacular views of the Devon countryside. An abundance of walks will take you through woodland, fields, around lakes and along riverbanks. Have you ever milked a cow? give it a go here. Watch the kids in the Jungle World play area, on the assault course or trampoline

The Gnome Reserve and Wild Flower Garden

Set in the grounds of an old Rectory, here you can go in a pixie dwelling inside the stem ol a flower, step through the Lucky Horseshoe or see the Gnome Motor Bike Scramble. There are over 1,000 gnomes and pixies to meet, the bestway to see them is to blend-in by wearing your own gnome hat and carry your own fishing rod (both supplied, for grown ups too !), that way they think you're just a distant cousin. ln the Wild Flower Garden, savour the fragrance of over 250 labelled species of wild flowers, herbs, grasses and ferns.

There is a great choice of other attractions, both in and out door, for all ages in North Devon and Cornwall.
